We launched the European.eu site on 20 November and huge use – 10 million hits an hour – meant it crashed. We are doing our best to reopen Europeana.eu in a more robust version.

Unfortunately this project site is only in English: the real Europeana is in all EU languages.
E’ successo che il 20 novembre hanno aperto il sito e 10 milioni di contatti in un’ora l’hanno letteralmente mandato in tilt.
Ma cos’è Europeana? Europeana è un progetto che parte dal 2007. Cosa vuole fare? Praticamente è una grande biblioteca, museo, archivio virtuale. L’interfaccia sarà multilingue ma inizialmente dovrebbe essere in francese, inglese e tedesco.
